STRENGTHEN FOUNDATION SYSTEMSCOST EFFECTIVE FOUNDATION SOLUTIONS

Micropiles, also commonly referred to as pin piles, needle piles, mini piles are constructed as 3-10” diameter friction  or end bearing piles. These piles when used in the appropriate application are able to carry loads of over 170 tons although their regular uses rarely exceed 50 tons in Southwest Florida. At Coastal Foundation Solutions, we commonly use micropiles in areas with limited access, to underpin existing structures, or to aid in foundation expansion applications.

SYSTEM BENEFITSMICROPILE INSTALLATION

As with any foundation pile installation, micro piles are installed utilizing drilling equipment that digs a hole to make room for a specialized casing that the micropile is then inserted into. Once installed to the proper depth and torqued, the casing is flushed and filled with a cement grout mixture to lock the micropile into place.
