CASE STUDYHELICALS FOR A BURNER TANK INSTALLATION

FOUNDATION SUPPORT FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTUREPROJECT INFORMATION

ANALYSIS

Renewable Energy is fast developing into an industry to circumvent disposal of used construction materials into county landfills. As our environment ages and changes, it is imperative we develop solutions that are both effective and efficient to further preserve our world. In quarter 4 of 2022, Coastal Foundation Solutions was contracted to serve the helical needs of a Naples Florida facility aiming to do just that.

SOLUTION

With a need to circumvent the disposal of used construction materials into county landfills, a site was structured to properly reclaim asphalt in Naples, Florida. There were several challenges associated with this project that our team had to consider. Along with the logistical challenges associated with this project, our team were required to work within a confined space while adhering to strict safety protocols. Additionally, we were required to pre-drill for helicals due to the dense surface material at the project site prohibiting ground penetration.

RESULT

Our team installed twenty-two (22) helical pilings to support a burner tank on-site at our client’s Naples Florida facility. The Coastal crew completed this project within the time constraints provided, which eliminated further downtime for the client. The completed project highlights how adaptable helical piles are for foundation support applications, along with how fluid our company can be to surmount challenges as they presented themselves.

We pride ourselves on being South Florida’s leading specialty foundation contractor with the capacity to install helicals to 200 plus tons. In situations, were marine applications are required our fleet of modular barges allow us to perform that work as well.

PRODUCTS

Coastal Foundation Soultions installed RS 3500 10″, 12″, and 14″ leads coupled to 1.75″ square shaft extensions.
