PROJECT INFORMATION
ANALYSIS
Following Hurricane Ian, many homeowners in coastal or beachfront areas throughout Florida have opted to repair or reinforce their existing home pilings. Our team recently worked with Kiara Isle Builders Inc. within Bonita Springs Florida to help provide support to an existing beachfront residence.
SOLUTION
After reviewing the project, our team proposed a plan to shore the existing home and provide remedial piling repair in seven locations. Doing so would add rigidity and ensure a proper foundation for this beachfront home in Bonita Springs, FL.
RESULT
Once contracted, our team went to work installing new rough sawn timber pilings to match the existing pilings. The pilings were notched as directed in the plans, and accompanied steel plates with thru bolts onto the home’s existing piles. Adding these additional structures provided an ample amount of support for this stunning beachfront property.

- 14″x4″x1′-6″ steel plates fixed with (4) 21″ thru bolts on the existing piles
