Helical Tiebacks have a number of uses and applications. Whether a project is directly situated on a coastal waterway, or in a canal system with limited access, helical tieback anchor systems feature a number of benefits to solve a number of issues. Benefits of helical tieback anchor systems include:
- Engineered for optimum soil and subsoil varieties
- Stabilization on standing vertical walls, retaining walls and seawalls that are deteriorating or bowing outwards
- Adding muscle in newly erected seawalls or bulkheads
- Helical piles can be installed up to 20 times faster than concrete driven or drilled piles.
- No additional reinforcement material or concrete required
- Owners can dodge expensive spoil excavation procedures
- Functions in concentrated sands and other viscous foundational layers

THE INSTALLATION PROCESS
Installation of helical tieback anchors can be completed in a short time-frame with a small crew. This in turn speaks volume to cost savings both for the project, and in time.
- A hole is cored through the concrete or wood wall
- The “Galvanized“ helical anchor is screwed into the soil past the wall to secure the vertical wall against further movement
- A Hot Dipped Galvanized steel bolster plate is attached to add strength and stability to the face of the wall.
- The termination is a 1” HDG nut torqued to engineer specifications.
