HELICAL PILING INSTALLATION FOR POOL RENOVATION & ADDITION
PROJECT INFORMATION
ANALYSIS
In March of 2021, Coastal Foundation Solutions was hired to aid in developing a support structure for the St. Kitts at Crown Colony high-end condominium complex in Naples Florida. This area of Naples, well known for its premium amenities, and upscale living has experienced exponential growth in the previous years, and we don’t forecast it slowing down any time soon.
SOLUTION
When presented with very poor soil conditions at the St. Kitts facility, Coastal Foundation Solutions was contacted to help develop a foundation solution for the project’s contractor prior to the renovation and swimming pool addition slated to take place. After receiving a geotechnical exploration report from Forge Engineering Inc. it was determined that helical pilings would be an ideal choice for establishing a proper foundation.
RESULT
Once approved, our team mobilized and went to work installing twenty seven (27) helical piles to a depth of 55 feet. This yielded 30 tons of ultimate compression, solidifying a solid foundation for the project’s upcoming construction efforts.
